The Big Bash Experience
What is the Big Bash?
After traveling to North America to attend the 24th World Scout Jamboree, some of the participants have brought back a memory very important to them! Their base camp Big Bashes - where everyone went and enjoyed an epic evening of music and entertainment in the middle of West Virginia! After returning home, they've decided to share their experiences to the whole of West Sussex and organise their own Big Bash at the heart of Horsham Scouting, Beacon Hill Campsite! Come along, bring your troop/unit and have a wicked time with live music, food and stalls surrounded by hundreds of Scouts and Explorers!
#YouShape
Our Big Bash is shaped around our young people's experiences after visiting the World Scout Jamboree in West Virginia last summer.
Live Music
Have you ever seen a stage in the middle of the woods? At the Big Bash, all our bands will be perform front and centre in the midst of the wildlife.
The Alley
The Big Bash isn't just about the music, we'll have plenty of other things to do. There will be tomahawks, a light tent and even an Inflatable Helter Skelter!

FAQ
The complete list of all the answers you need is just below!
Who can attend the Big Bash?
Tickets are available to Scouts, Explorers and their leaders, who are encouraged to attend with them. There are also lots of opportunities for adults to volunteer!
What's on the programme?
We'll have acts playing on the main stage from 4pm, with our headline act, Black & Gold, at 8pm. We'll also have other activities like Soft Archery, a UV tent and even an Inflatable Helter Skelter for everyone to enjoy, all included in the ticket price!
When's the event?
The Big Bash has a staggered start, allowing campers staying overnight to pitch their tents at 12pm on Saturday, 3rd July. The gates to single day attendees open at 3pm. The bash will finish at approximately 10:30pm, with campers staying until 11am on Sunday, 4th July.
More information will be sent out nearer the event.
What are my responsibilities as leader if I have young people attending?
If your YPs are camping overnight on a passport you will presumably have signed this, deeming them responsible to camp. You will then be their In Touch, holding all their information and details.
If your YPs are attending the Big Bash BUT NOT camping they will need to organise their own In Touch for the event, it would be preferable for it to be their scout leader but not essential.
We hope you've found the answers you're looking for. If you haven't, just Get in Touch and one of the team will get back to you.
